Bereavement Counselling and Grief Therapy in London

Losing someone close can turn your world upside down. Grief can feel overwhelming, confusing or strangely numb, and it rarely follows a neat path. Sometimes the people around you expect you to be moving on while you still feel stuck in the loss. Therapy offers a confidential space to grieve at your own pace, without needing to hold it together for anyone else.

I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist offering bereavement counselling in central London and online.

You might be experiencing

  • Deep sadness, longing or waves of grief that catch you off guard

  • Numbness, or feeling that the loss has not really sunk in

  • Anger, guilt or regret about things said or left unsaid

  • Difficulty sleeping, concentrating or coping with everyday life

  • Grief after a sudden, traumatic or unexpected death

  • A complicated or difficult relationship with the person who died

  • Grief that others do not seem to recognise, such as the loss of an ex-partner, a friend or a pet

  • Feeling that grief from years ago is resurfacing now

  • Loneliness, or a sense of not knowing who you are without them

How therapy can help

There is no right way to grieve and no timetable to follow. In our sessions you can talk about the person you have lost, the relationship you had and the impact their death has had on your life, including the feelings that can be hard to say out loud elsewhere.

Together we can make sense of what you are going through and find ways to carry the loss alongside the rest of your life. That might mean finding space for memories, working through regrets or unfinished conversations, or slowly rebuilding routines and connections. The aim is not to forget, but to find a way of living with the loss that feels more bearable.

Grief can also stir up earlier losses or other parts of life that feel unsettled. If that happens, we can explore those too, at a pace that feels right for you.
