Therapy for Low Self-Esteem, Confidence and Self-Worth in London

That inner voice telling you that you are not good enough can shape everything: your work, your relationships, your sex life and how you look after yourself. Therapy can help you understand where that voice comes from and loosen its grip.

I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist offering therapy in central London and online, working with people who struggle with low self-esteem, confidence and self-worth.

Signs of low self-esteem

  • Harsh self-criticism or never feeling good enough

  • Comparing yourself unfavourably with others

  • Difficulty accepting compliments or asking for what you need

  • People-pleasing, or struggling to say no

  • Feeling like an impostor at work or in relationships

  • Holding back from opportunities, dating or new experiences

  • Relying on others' approval to feel okay

How therapy can help

Low self-esteem usually has roots: messages absorbed growing up, experiences of rejection or bullying, or pressure to be a certain way. In therapy we explore those roots, so you can see your beliefs about yourself for what they are rather than as facts.

Over time, the work is about developing a kinder, more realistic relationship with yourself. Clients often find they feel more confident, set clearer boundaries and are able to go after what they want with less fear.
