Therapy for Sexual Abuse in London

The effects of sexual abuse or assault can last long after the events themselves, whether they happened in childhood or as an adult, recently or many years ago. You may never have told anyone, or you may have tried to put it behind you only to find it still affects your life. Therapy offers a confidential, safe space to make sense of what happened, at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist offering therapy in central London and online. I work with survivors of all genders and sexualities.

You might be experiencing

  • Flashbacks, nightmares or intrusive memories

  • Anxiety, panic or feeling constantly on guard

  • Shame, guilt or self-blame

  • Difficulty with trust, closeness or relationships

  • Difficulties with sex, or feeling disconnected from your body

  • Low mood, numbness or feeling detached

  • Using alcohol, drugs, sex or other behaviours to cope

How therapy can help

There is no right way to feel and no pressure to talk about anything before you are ready. We start by building safety and trust, and you stay in control of what we explore and when.

My approach is trauma-informed and integrative. Over time, the work can help you understand how the abuse has affected you, ease the hold of shame and self-blame, and reconnect with yourself, your body and others.
