Therapy for Workplace Stress in London

Work can take up a huge part of our lives, and when it becomes overwhelming it rarely stays at work. You might be lying awake going over emails, dreading Monday from Sunday afternoon, or feeling that however much you do it is never enough. Therapy offers a confidential space to step back, make sense of what is happening and find a more sustainable way through.

I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist offering therapy in central London and online, working with adults experiencing stress, pressure and burnout at work.

You might be experiencing

  • Feeling constantly under pressure or unable to switch off

  • Exhaustion, burnout or feeling emotionally drained

  • Difficulty sleeping, or work thoughts that follow you home

  • Anxiety about performance, deadlines or making mistakes

  • Perfectionism, people-pleasing or finding it hard to say no

  • Conflict with a manager or colleagues, or a difficult team culture

  • Imposter syndrome or a loss of confidence

  • Feeling stuck, unfulfilled or unsure about your career direction

  • Stress around redundancy, job loss or a big change at work

How therapy can help

We start by looking at what is going on for you now: the demands you are facing, how stress shows up in your body, mood and relationships, and what has helped or hindered so far. Together we can find practical ways to manage pressure, set boundaries and protect time to recover.

We can also explore what sits underneath. Often workplace stress connects with deeper patterns, such as a strong inner critic, a fear of letting people down or a sense that your worth depends on what you achieve. Understanding these patterns can help you make choices that feel more like your own, whether that means changing how you work or what you want from work.

Many people also live quietly with imposter syndrome: the sense that you have not really earned your place and will one day be found out, however capable you are. Therapy can help you understand where that voice comes from and loosen its grip, so you can recognise your abilities and own what you have achieved.
